I bought this new in the 90's. It runs silent and smooth as ever. That's the original JMW 10 arm. Tweaks include the SAMA, SDS, Bearpaw feet, Elusive Disc Isolation upgrade, Stainless/delrin one piece clamp, upgraded pivot spike, Valhalla 2 wiring, Applied Fidelity sapphire thrust pad with ceramic bearing, dropped counterweight and Soundsmith counterintuitive with Dynavector XX2 MKII cart. I'm lusting for an Aries 3/3D but the audition will have to knock my socks off because this table is actually quite good - and paid for!

There are a number of beautiful tables here, but yours, indeed, does look brand new and special. If you buy an Aries, don't sell this one. I am very fond of older things that have retained their beauty, and collect some of various types. Not all of them are pristine (like your table), some are more attractive well worn. In any case, I'd be interested in the rest of your system. Is it made up of other classic pieces. Let us know. Thanks. Rich

First, thanks for the compliments. I had no idea. It's just my old table to me.
The rest of the system is:
ARC PH7 with Telefunken tubes
ARC REF3 pre
Ayre V5xe main
Vandersteen 3A Signature speakers.
All strung together by:
Nordost Frey 2 phono, Frey 2/Tyr 2 interconnects
AZ Satori Shotgun speaker cable

Thanks. Nice system, particularly the amps. Must sound sweet, warm and melodic. Different approach, and probably very different sound, than mine. Rich

Gorgeous table, not an easy task to keep and maintain that Piano Gloss finish over the years, your pride in ownership is certainly showing!

Rich,

The sound is detailed and organic with excellent timing. It keeps the band out of my room and takes me to the venue. I love live albums.

I've gone 'round and 'round thought-wise and for the moment the table's a keeper. I've ordered another cart, Ortofon Cadenza Bronze, to go with my DV XX2 so I can switch between beauty and truth to keep things interesting. I've cleaned up the glue from the original cork buttons on the wood corners using a Q-Tip saturated with WD40. Quick and easy and no effect on the finish at all. I used Mothers Mag Wheel and Aluminum polish on the platter and it looks new again. Plexus on the acrylic. More pics:

Beautiful deck and arm.

I have a JMW-10.5 but I also run a JMW-10 armwand on it with an alternate cartridge. I like the industrial design of the 10 armwand better than anything that has been developed since. I went through the process of upgrading to a newer arm with both a 3D and a stainless steel armwand but eventually went back to the older arm. I like having the fluid damping which is something you'd lose with the newer arm. The platter you have on that deck is a true classic and some consider it better than any platter since.

I'd be in no rush to buy a new rig. Thanks for posting the pics.

Hi, I also have a HW-19 MKIV. I just got a classic 3 platter and a 10.5 3D arm from Harry's workshop. So I will be upgrading the table. I am trying to figure how to mount the arm on my existing arm board. Since you have done it so beautiful, can you give some pointer.
